Gotta love it when a month of on & off debugging comes down to a dodgy 5 volt regulator browning out when the indicator LED's get too bright.

Based on the momentary power blip and the MANY sirens that followed about 10 minute later, it seems like some unfortunate may have helped me finally test the Sol-Ark in a power out scenario.

I believe there are specific audiophile nerd points awarded for successfully re-capping the crossovers from speakers over 30 years old. I’ll take my points (x2) please.
Crossover from an Advent Legacy II speaker with replaced metal film capacitors.

This hateful thing is responsible for two home theater receivers going to their early retirement. Crossover cap exploded and would only short out and fault the receiver when the bass made it vibrate just the wrong way. New Advent recap kits in-bound…
The unraveled foil remains of an exploded electrolytic capacitor sit on a glass table top, mocking me.

It’s been an embarrassingly long time since V2.2212 actually spat plastic. Only one toolhead working presently, but all six are configured in Klipper and technically functional. So much more calibration to do for docking / undocking, etc.

That took a gods damned long time to get to... I do *not* have spoons left to start physical calibration, but maybe I can make the ergableds match the toolhead colors.

Check out that grill!
The front of a 4U rack server sticking way out of its rack on its rails. The front grill is 3D printed hexagon pattern with shadow cloth behind it. A small touch screen (currently blank) in the upper right will show temperatures and allow fan control. The bright green water cooling lines are visible in the background.

This is new territory… You’re welcome to come at me about that waterslide between the two 3090’s, but it won’t amount to anything. Function and using available fittings beat form. No results yet, just letting the pump run for a day or so to rule out leaks.

Before & after. Basement stairs are much lies likely to kill, even if they look like a murder scene. Alas, yellow/black caution stripes don’t come in a rattle can, and my paint skills are meager. Thanks to @inquisitiveelle.bsky.social for the disassembly and clean out service.
Looking down at a set of cinder block stairs in a basement Bilco entry way, crumbling, uneven, poorly built, covered in dirt and mud from water seepage. Rebuilt stairs in the same basement entry way, now made of pressure treated lumber. The stairs are even, sturdy, and run the full width of the entry way. The concrete of the walls and floor is gleaming white from a fresh coat of Drylok. A concrete berm to redirect runoff water to the floor drain is painted bright (blood) red.

The gulf of meaning between the terms "horse play" and "pony play" illustrates why expecting your culture's translation of another's ancient texts to be 100% true to their original intent is dangerous and probably not a good idea.

EVIL in big, blood red, all caps...evil as a force that is seperate from humanity doesn't exist. There is no devil or Cthulu or Darkness. There's just people. Evil and the horrors that we use that word to describe, are a product of human beings. Pretending otherwise abdicates responsibility.
