I finished my Our Flag Means Death animatic! I wanted to really lean in to making a very romantic song and dance, something I don't get to do often professionally. I hope you'll enjoy it! Help me get the word out! #OFMD #storyboard youtu.be/mz_jr64MDDM?...

visdeurbel.nl/en/ This is not a joke. This is a canal cam in the Netherlands. If you see a fish on the cam, press the doorbell. This lets the lock keeper know that fish need to be let through to continue their journey to spawn. Being kind does not cost anything. Thank you.

Purdue to the rescue of IU student newspaper, whose institution was attempting censorship. Details in alt!

Sara Whitmer

I'm sure many of you have heard by now that earlier this week, IU k*lled the print edition of its student paper, the IDS. The issue that was supposed to print this week contained criticism of the Whitten regime and IUs further slide into scist control, and they couldn't allow that to happen during Homecoming, when all the rich alumni are in town.
Enter Purdue! The Purdue student paper, The Exponent, owns its own presses. Yesterday, in an act of tremendous solidarity with their biggest rival school, they printed the forbidden issue of the IDS. They then drove it to Bloomington overnight and stocked all of the IDS boxes on campus, just in time for Homecoming.
Solidarity is what makes us stronger, and solidarity will be what ultimately allows us to triumph, if we can ever truly get it together. I hope everyone has a fun, safe day if they're going out today, and I hope we can think about what acts of solidarity we can begin taking to really make this movement MOVE - beyond a permitted expression of upset into more active resistance.

We can live in silks and leathers 🍰 #ofmdfanart #ourflagmeansdeath

Five coloured sketches of the progression of Stede's outfits through the series.
First sketch: Stede walking around with the potted fern and a quill pen, wearing a light teal vest and breeches over a white shirt and stockings.
Second sketch: Stede kneeling in shock in front of the weapon that Chauncy used, his clothes from the privateer academy rumpled and dirty.
Third sketch: Stede in his celebrity pirate era, with a dark teal shirt that shows off his chest, brown leather pants and boots and a sword belt. He's winking off to his right, holding onto a rope with his left hand and his right is resting on the hilt of his sword.
Fourth sketch: Stede is back in his soft fabrics, in blue cotton pants, leather boots and a linen shirt that's wide open and sliding off his shoulders, showing bites and kisses left by Ed. In his hands he's holding onto the pink robe with a soft smile on his face.
Fifth sketch: Stede finds a middle ground in his wardrobe, mixing the softness of fine fabrics with the practicality of leather. He kept the loose shirt wide open over his chest, with shiny pearl and gold necklaces framing his neckline. He's kneeling with one leg on a stool, leather pants soft and stretching in his pose, and buttery gold leather boots adding a pop of colour to his outfit. His upper body is draped over the counter as he smiles coily at his companion (who's not in frame but is definitely Ed)

i know it runs counter to the way a lot of us interact with the world these days, but talking to each other is how we build community! fandom ~is~ community! and when you comment or repost a lot, creators notice! and it feels very nice! never be afraid to be excited about or interested in fanworks!

From a new interview about Star Trek. Embrace your inner weirdo! ❤️ #RhysDarbyFaction www.cbr.com/rhys-darby-s...

At the end of the day, I've always played weirdos and been in that realm. They do fit in. People just need to make room for the weirdo. And then the weirdo suddenly becomes not so weird anymore, or there's a love for that. The weirdness is something that I've always loved in my life and strived to not only be, but also praise. I think that the weird in all of us is important.

if i can be y’all’s dad for a second: one of the most important things I’ve learned is that acquiring a skill is literally uncomfortable that awful moment where you feel confused and stupid and embarrassed? it means you’re about to learn something. and it’s *mandatory* if you want to get better

www.nytimes.com/live/2025/06... WTF? A US Senator (a senior Senator) tries to ask a question, and gets THIS? This is NOT democracy. As a veteran, I watch every day things that I value, things that I have sworn to protect and defend, be brazenly violated by people who supposedly took the same oath.

Let's face it, friends. The mind of an #otter is not made for fishing with a rod. Especially not Ed's. #OurFlagMeansDeath #OtterFlag #OFMD #Comic

Six panel comic strip of Ed explaining fishing with a rod to Stede. Stede is here uncharacteristically less chatty, as he is listening interestedly to Ed. Ed is putting great importance on being calm, patient and not forcing things. They are sitting on a small boat landing at a small idyllic lake. And Ed loses his patience within about five minutes. He jumps into the water and catches a carp the old otter way, while closing his explanations about fishing with the remark: "And when you are bored enough, you go an catch the fucking fish yourself." Stede is rather amused by this.

A leafy plant is winding up one side of the porch cover, bunting hangs across the gap above Ed and Stede while a little rainbow flag and pirate flag sticks out next to them.
