Archer’s resignation from the London mayoral race after it was revealed he lied in court was the thing that got Paul Foot up from his sickbed and contributing again, having first started chronicling Archer’s lies and misdemeanours in 1969. From the Private Eye archive. Issue 992, December 1999.

Thing about Badenoch is her immense self-confidence does communicate itself to voters and is one reason her ratings have improved. But you've got to think during a campaign more people would notice it is entirely unjustified.

I would love to suggest that answer 3) is correct......but guessing it is 1) - based on the quote we had, and swiftly dismissed.

Massive process safety risk, and completely inefficient use of excess green electricity, making hydrogen, then ammonia then converting it back again. Apart from that it's brilliant......

.....massive process safety risks associated with storage and pipelines (even if they are short). Will be near a port, with general public affected, and storage of NH3 needs to be far bigger than currently in use for fertilizers. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Badenoch on #R4Today claiming the Tories’ problems started with the Coalition when they “had to make compromises” and were perceived as “not proper Conservatives”. Cameron/Osbourne absolutely steamrollered the Lib Dems, got all they wanted, and left Clegg &c. as patsies. What is she on?

The thing that never gets enough attention with big bold deregulation programmes is how implausible the counter-factual is. The idea you scrap some annoying regulators, ditch net zero targets, and stop worrying about schools near new housing developments and all will be fine is laughable.

Scrapping the Future Homes Standard will deliver cost reductions for developers, but it’s hugely unlikely they’d be passed on to buyers and those buyers would be left with homes that cost thousands of pounds a year more to run.
