The author(s) seem relieved that Biden did not, ultimately, force Israel to end the war in Gaza in spring 2024. If he had, it would have saved something like 40,000 Palestinian lives and 50,000 Gazan buildings. An eternal stain on Biden’s legacy.

Reminder that Israel attacked both the World Central Kitchen humanitarian convoy in Gaza AND Iranian personnel at a facility in Damascus on 1 April 2024. Biden was so upset over the former attack that he helped protect Israel from the predictable consequences of the latter attack.
