UN experts urged for a global defense of the International Criminal Court after US sanctions: “If ever there was a moment for States committed to an international rules-based order, to accountability for atrocity crimes, to the defence of human rights [...] it is now."

The United States today imposed sanctions on the ICC as an entity. The US Government had already sanctioned more than 10 current or former ICC judges and personnel, and one UN Special Rapporteur, under US Executive Order 14203 of 2025.

“These sanctions are an egregious assault by one country against the international administration of justice and the international criminal accountability gains against impunity for the gravest crimes,” the experts said. “The sanctions are aimed at bringing the ICC to its knees; and ensuring US allies are not held accountable for genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity.”

“If ever there was a moment for States committed to an international rules-based order, to accountability for atrocity crimes, to the defence of human rights, and to the principle that no one is above the law, to stand up and be counted, it is now,” they warned.

Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene unfurling on a busy street around 4 p.m., as a slew of New Yorkers were getting home from work and school. As shots rang out, bystanders sheltered in neighboring businesses, the eyewitnesses said.

Iris Rose, a school therapist, said after she emerged from a nearby shop, she saw a man bleeding on the ground in front of a car, while agents milled around, one holding a small child.

TAMPA, Fla. — U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces will begin implementing a blockade of all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports on April 13 at 10 a.m. ET, in accordance with the President’s proclamation.

Iran promised to open the Strait of Hormuz, and they knowingly failed to do so. This caused anxiety,
dislocation, and pain to many people and Countries throughout the World. They say they put mines in
the water, even though all of their Navy, and most of their "mine droppers," have been completely
blown up. They may have done so, but what ship owner would want to take the chance? There is

So, there you have it, the meeting went well, most points were agreed to, but the only point that
really mattered, NUCLEAR, was not. Effective immediately, the United States Navy, the Finest in the
