Day 21 of posting cool mushrooms every day: The Bleeding Tooth fungus (Hydnellum peckii) has both teeth on its underside and "blood" on its top! The "blood" is extracellular fluid, which is squeezed out when the fungus absorbs water, increasing pressure until the red fluid is squeezed out!

In Hippoxxus when shooting enemies, you can toggle between normal and heal mode. In heal mode, your gun's rate of fire and range is reduced, but once the bar below your health bar is fully charged, you'll automatically heal yourself. #GameDev #IndieDev #PixelArt #Metroidvania

Today on #NatureIsAConceptArtist, the corpse flower. It's native to the rainforests of the Indonesian island of Sumatra (although I saw one at the Cambridge Botanical Gardens) It blooms infrequently and gives off the odor of rotting flesh.
