Somewhere, Out There My #3rdPlace is a feeling, #anticipation the excitement with each new journey. My head in the clouds enjoying early morning light somewhere over #LakeOntario. #BlueSkyArtShow #Scpape #Photography #OriginalContent #Landscape #ECK #WestCoastKin #travel #Canada #ImagesOfCanada

Moving clouds shot through an aircraft window. Sunlight streams down casting a yellow hue through much of the frame. A watercourse can be seen below winding its way through the right side of the image.

I return to the same things and places a lot. Observation of how I see the world through my current state helps me remember that my state too is a passing perspective. #Photography #color #motion #meditation #Detroit

Tall rushes at the edge of a misty pond.. Norwich VT, September 2026 #ECK #Photography #PhotographersOfBluesky #Scape #Landscape #Nature #ColorADay #BWFri #ClassicMono

This monochrome image shows a group of rushes standing at the edge of a pond on a misty morning. The rushes rise from the muddy, leaf-scattered shore of the pond at the bottom of the frame, and end about one third of the way from its top, where their seed heads can be seen against the fog. Behind the rushes is the surface of the pond, where reflections of distant trees and bushes can just be made out. The image is finished by the appearance of other yet more distant trees and bushes, which gradually vanish in the mist hanging over the entire scene.

This is a long video - way over my 20-second attention span. I took my black mist filter along this day; I kind of forgot I had it. Can't say it looks much different with or without. #PalacesAndGardens #ItsAJungleOutThere #Zen #Dreamy #VideoVignette 369 Seconds of Bliss, 369 (Epidemic Sound)

All These Cats Feed+Rescue @allthesecats.org · 30/09/2026

14 outdoor cats depend on us daily for food/water. Tomorrow, we start rationing food. Donations have decreased dramatically. I get it…everything is expensive. 😔 These aren’t the cute kittens. These are cats that were left behind, born in wild. A bag/box of food? www.amazon.com/registries/g... #cats

#ECK #PostProcess #Silence Original 📷: @rjrock.bsky.social See alt-text for summary of Lightroom edits

A town on a mountain side at night.

For this challenge, I tried to "silence" the scene by cropping out the green vegetation in the foreground and some of the cloud texture in the upper sky. I tried to simplify the color palette to orange and purplish blue. I focused on the town by creating a radial mask and lifting the shadows, increasing color saturation and clarity. I created a linear gradient mask at the bottom of the photo to dim the lights in the valley by reducing exposure, highlights, clarity and texture. Likewise, I created a mask for the clouds and reduced exposure, highlights, texture and clarity.

Dahlia update from the garden. See alt-text for variety names. #Bloomscrolling #FlowerReport #Dahlias #Stunday

A variety of dahlia called Ferncliffe Inspiration.

A variety of dahlia named Tutti Frutti. This is new to my garden this year. Seems to hold up well as a cut flower, for a dahlia at least.

The backside of a dahlia variety called Polveton Supreme on a foggy morning.

A variety of dahlia named Diva as it beings to open. Or it could be Nighty-Night. Not sure why I bought dahlias so similar to each other. They are marked in the flower bed but now I have forgotten which plant I photographed.

We are in the “getting to know you” phase and this morning I learned that he LOVES catnip toys. Last night he got in bed with me and made biscuits on my arm. 💙 Happy #Caturday! 😻

Pebbles cannot contain her astonishment over attaining 500 followers. Our main goal has been to promote the adoption of senior cats with a little garden, birds, and feline fun. If we get one senior cat into a new home it will be worth the effort. Please go back to our earlier posts on seniors.
