I remember my father telling me how anti trust laws worked as a kid. Something like "Well son, we have laws where one electric company can't just buy all the OTHER electric companies. Then they could just charge whatever they want because there'd be no competition." We were a very optimistic people.

I worked for New York’s largest medical center at the start of the pandemic. There were morgue trucks on the streets. They set up emergency medical tents in Central Park. Healthcare worker colleagues died. It is horrific that RFK Jr is on national TV lying that ICUs were empty.

Thrilled to see. In the nature of western schooling I did multiple (albeit small) reports on sickle cell my entire life. Its a serious joy to see this being tackled in modern medicine.

Just to throw down two cents, my TV had all the dials up front as a child and I would use them and Magnets to change the color of Spyro. Houses are clumsy and rarely full of people who feel encouraged to optimize settings. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the memory is from poorly calibrated TVs.

As Donkey Kong 64 has been on Nintendo Switch Online for a little over a week, we have to ask: has anyone been playing it for the first time!? Many of us here look back on it fondly, and it's fun to see it being rediscovered (with every Kong individually) all these years later.
