Thinking about Kaprekar's Constant and how it works. I'm not numbers-minded, so I'm guessing some kind of witchcraft. Maths people, help!

You know how sometimes you go through life singing lyrics, but sometimes don't really LISTEN? "I Woke Up In A Strange Place" by Jeff Buckley. Ooof. A tad darker than I remembered.

Something lovely for the weekend! A stunning 2,000 year-old Roman emerald green glass bowl 💚 📷 The Met www.metmuseum.org/art/collecti... #Archaeology

The image shows an intact Roman glass bowl cast from translucent emerald green glass. To make a cast glass bowl, a disc of glass was slumped over a mould and shaped. The green colour was produced by adding copper oxide. The Met describes the shape of the bowl as ‘short, outsplayed rim with beveled edge; carinated side, with two convex curves, the upper being shallow and the lower deep; slightly convex bottom within outsplayed base ring with flat edge’. This shape was modelled on Roman silverware and Arretine pottery.
Height: 5.4 cm (2 1/8 in.) diameter: 12 cm (4 3/4 in.)

Being beautiful, gorgeous, or pretty to me has more to do with how someone treats other people than what they look like. Do they give a hand to those in need, how kind are they? A person's exterior is no different than a well-painted wall - eventually, it will fade, but their actions leave a legacy.

"The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears or the sea." -- Isak Dinesen Being a human right now is extremely heavy; time to bask in the glory that is Mother Nature. Spent some time at Kakamatua today getting sandy, wet and sun-kissed. Met some beautiful, happy doggos. Absolute soul food 💙

My cousin sent me this - she's been eating pickles and peanut butter on Vogels bread and swears it's delicious. Shall I give it a go? It's either going to be the ultimate stoner food or completely vile.

Hey friend, The world is a shit-show. You're tired, angry, afraid, worried. You just want peace, abundance & hope. Look for beauty. Take time & space to rest. Be gentle with yourself, because the world won't be. Stay hydrated. Get some sunshine. Hug everyone. This, too, shall pass. Love you 💚🩷

Clearest view to date of Uranus' rings. 🔭 🧪

The planet Uranus on a black background. The planet appears blue with a large, white patch taking up the right half. The patch is whitest at the centre, then fades into blue as it expands from right to left. A thin outline of Uranus is also white. Around the planet is a system of nested rings. The outermost ring is the brightest while the innermost ring is the faintest. Unlike Saturn’s horizontal rings, the rings of Uranus are vertical and so they appear to surround the planet in an oval shape. There are 9 blueish white dots scattered around the rings.

My one constructive criticism on BlueSky, as a community: we need to “like” less and “retweet” more. In the absence of an algorithm, that’s the way we find each other and reward good content.
