One thing educators need to learn from Trump is that America is shamefully ignorant of the rest of the world. Our politicians can’t even find countries on a map. Our “diplomats” must be addressed in English; they know no second language. We need a vast influx of foreign students to civilize us.

Op-eds, academic articles by Provost Santiago Schnell flagged as ‘AI-written’ by ‘near-zero error’ AI detector Pangram
Schnell said he used artificial intelligence for “making writing processes more efficient,” but that AI was not a “substitute” for his own “intellectual judgment or authorship.”

Press release from Janeese Lewis George, page 1. Text: Today marks one year of the occupation of DC by federal forces, which has resulted in injury and trauma for DC residents, countless families separated by ICE, and the killing by federal law enforcement of Julian Bailey and Nolberto Meza, for which there has been no transparency or accountability. DC has the highest rate in the country of children separated from their parents. Federal agents are harassing our youth.

And the National Guard’s presence will cost federal taxpayers more than $1.4 billion dollars, which could be spent instead on housing, healthcare, education, and much more. This is on top of the millions DC is losing from the decrease in tourism and the firing of thousands of federal workers. Press release from Janeese Lewis George, page 1. Text: Amidst these attacks, the people of DC have been rising up, speaking out, and organizing to protect their neighbors and city. Thousands of us have marched the streets, and many of us organized school walking buses and mutual aid. We’ve been mounting legal battles and winning.

As we continue the fight to win local autonomy and DC statehood, I will use every tool at my disposal as mayor to demand that these federal troops go home to serve their own communities and not be used for political theater and domestic military occupation.

Reminder that Emil Bove's seat on the 3rd Circuit should have gone to Adeel Mangi, President Biden's incredible nominee who would have been the first Muslim federal appellate court judge in the nation. A vicious, anti-Muslim smear campaign tore him down. nominationnotes.substack.com/p/before-emi...

Before Emil Bove, one incredible nominee almost made judicial history. Bigotry and cowardice had the final say.
A year after Adeel Mangi’s powerful letter, it’s worth recalling what could have been — and what our democracy deserves.

The Declaration of Independence specifies 27 grievances with King George III and Britain. Donald Trump and his regime have committed at least 20 of those same offenses highlighted in yellow. Happy 250, America!
An image of a list of the 27 grievances against King George III in the Declaration of Independence. Donald Trump's regime has committed at least 20 of them in whole or in part, condensed into the list below:
1.	He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
2.	He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of representation …
3.	He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing … his invasions on the rights of the people.
4.	He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; … obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners …
5.	He has obstructed the Administration of Justice …
6.	He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices …
7.	He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.
8.	He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.
9.	He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.
10.	He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution … giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:
11.	For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:
12.	For protecting them … from punishment for any Murders which they should commit …
13.	For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:
14.	For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:
15.	For depriving us … of the benefits of Trial by Jury:
16.	For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences:
17.	For … abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:
18.	He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.
19.	He has … destroyed the lives of our people.
20.	He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us …

history sure does rhyme jefferson, listing offenses by king george, in a rough draft of the declaration of independence via ‘the greatest sentence ever written’ by walter isaacson
56
JEFFERSON'S ORIGINAL ROUGH DRAUGHT

… he has made our judges dependant on his will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and amount of their salaries; he has erected a multitude of new offices by a self-assumed power, & sent hither swarms of officers to harass our people & eat out their substance;
he has kept among us in times of peace standing armies
& ships of war;
he has affected to render the military, independant of &
superior to the civil power;
he has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitutions and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his assent to their pretended acts of legisla-tion, for quartering large bodies of armed troops among us; for protecting them by a mock-trial from punishment for any murders they should commit on the inhabitants of these states;
for cutting off our trade with all parts of the world; for imposing taxes on us without our consent; for depriving us of the benefits of trial by jury; for transporting us beyond seas to be tried for pretended offences: for taking away our charters, & altering fundamentally the forms of our governments;
for suspending our own legislatures & declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever;
