S*ri just freaked me the fuck out when I told my kid he needs to set a timer and my phone in my hand suddenly did it for me. Turns out the latest upgrade has either made S*ri more powerful, or at least become transparent about it. Have now turned off all of the S*ri learning and suggestions 😬

Publisher: Do you want to put an LLM clause in the copyright statement? Me: Definitely. How specific can we get? Publisher: As specific as you like.

The copyright statement from Ephemeral City which reads in part: No part of this book may be used as data for ‘training’ any large language model or as part of any machine learning or neural network architeture. Human creaivity cannot be replicated by doing maths with stolen art. Altman, Andressen, and all their cronies can get fucked. Enquires should be made to the publisher.

Remember how Maggie casually dropped ‘lying on the floor beside Adam’s bed at St Agnes’? Remember how Ronan could tolerate going back to the Barns because the light was different to That Day™? Ever dreamt about Ronan in Adam’s coca-cola tshirt? #trc #trcfanfic archiveofourown.org/works/42591474

Summary:
"It was a cold, dark morning when my father die—" his voice cracked, interrupting the word, and he heaved a ragged breath then amended, "—was murdered."
Adam looked at Ronan and away again, giving him space to continue. Ronan was grateful.
"It felt like time spiralled backwards and I was seeing it all again, but I was awake, man. It was outside of my nightmares."
"It wasn't real," Adam said pragmatically, but not unkindly.
"It felt real," Ronan countered, "which is nearly the same thing."
