In Mario Kart Wii, the Thunder Cloud item can be passed off to other players. While this appears to be able to go on forever, there is actually an internal limit to this. After being passed around 255 times, the cloud will have had enough and strike the last player to receive it.

It's downright ridicilous how god awful search systems are these days on websites. Instead of getting results from most recent to oldest, how the work is tagged, you get absolutely none of it. I guess it is to keep you on the website longer but to me it is just frustrating as hell

i had a funny thing to say about developers that run a certain os but i ran out of space and wanted it in one post so here's this

windows devs will make apps only for windows and program them heavily with windows-exclusive apis that make it a monumental task to port to other platforms (looking at both paint .net and undertale mod tool)

mac devs will create simple QOL apps that require you to buy a pro license for, even though equivalent apps on other platforms are free

linux devs will have their app only available on a git repo with zero binaries and very little (if at all) build instructions or guidance

I made a tool that turns PCB designs into 3D-printable molds. you sandwich copper tape between the parts, sand the ridges, and you have a real working PCB. no etching, no chemicals. I am losing my mind castpixel.itch.io/pcb-forge

I printed it and stuck self-adhesive copper tape to it. There's copper tape with conductive adhesive so you can add multiple overlapping pieces and it counts as one conductive surface.

Then I used the second part of the mold to shape the copper, so that it sticks inside the recessed traces.

Then I used sandpaper to file away at the raised ridges. The copper traces are now electrically independent of each other. Done!

But if I want, I can remove the extra copper tape.

The companion mold at the bottom. This second 3D-printed part pushes the copper tape down into the recessed trace channels so it conforms to the shape. The two parts sandwich together with alignment spikes to keep everything registered.

the Konami Python 2 will always be the peak of mid-2000s arcadejank to me imagine being an arcade tech back then, and you finally receive the kit to upgrade your cab from DDR SuperNOVA to SuperNOVA 2, so you open the case to get at the disc drive, and you're met face-to-face with this:
