I was indoctrinated into this show as a child through the double cassettes and went to see it again this year and it is SO joyfully silly and the music is just absolutely spinetinglingly fantastic. Trying to think of a modern musical as ingrained in the lives of kids via their parents as this one.

I absolutely LOVE it. They had it on at the Birmingham Hippodrome when I was at school and we were able to go as a class trip and went backstage and saw how the candles that rose up through the stage worked and the chandelier. It was amazing. Adored it ever since.
