The jig is up in the Democratic Party. The base has shifted, and they don’t want the kind of capital-friendly and compromise-minded politics that made Bennet the apple of Barack Obama and other establishment Democrats’ eyes. People want fighters, not folders, as Brad Lander famously said. We can fight about socialism versus liberalism later on when we can afford the luxury of ideological debates, but for now, this is a crisis and we need serious people willing to call it one and propose the major reforms needed to pull this constitutional car out of the ditch.

I grew up in Los Alamitos (405 x 605) in the 1960’s, when there was regular cooling marine influence from cooler ocean waters. By the time I left in the mid-70’s, summers already felt muggier, and onshore winds were dying out. LA was paved over by then, too.
