Smith made it very clear that she will interpret the results. This is not grassroots democracy. Govt decided what to ask (and what not to ask), wrote the questions, and will interpret the results.

Clearly, the UCP does not support Canada. Danielle Smith is running a separatist party. How many other UCP MLAs are voting to rip our country apart? Smith must be clear with Albertans on this. We've already done just that. Every NDP MLA has signed a pledge to oppose separatism.

Can we just make @clareblackwood.bsky.social's version of Danielle Smith the new Alberta flag?
The image displays a stylized portrayal of a woman positioned centrally, appearing to address an audience from behind a podium. She has shoulder-length brown hair, light blue eyes, and fair skin, with her mouth slightly open in an expression that could be interpreted as surprise or defiance. She wears a red blazer over a white top, complemented by a simple beaded necklace around her neck. Both of her hands are raised, with the middle finger of each hand extended upwards in a clear, provocative gesture. She stands behind a blue podium, which features the word "Alberta" written in a flowing white script, accompanied by a small, white square logo to its right. The backdrop consists of dark blue curtains, providing a formal setting for the figure. Flanking the woman and the podium are four flags. On the far left and right, two Canadian flags are visible, distinguished by their iconic red and white design featuring a central maple leaf. Positioned between the Canadian flags and directly behind the woman are two provincial flags of Alberta, which are primarily blue and display a shield emblem incorporating a red cross of St. George, green mountains, and golden wheat. Above the entire scene, a horizontal blue banner with a border contains the phrase "Alberta Forever" rendered in a distinctive, blocky yellow font. The overall aesthetic of the image has a somewhat cartoonish or digitally enhanced quality, giving it a meme-like or satirical tone. The lighting is bright and evenly distributed, highlighting the central figure and the flags. The composition strongly suggests a political context, delivering a message of strong, possibly rebellious, regional identity.

"The provincial UCP government has ruined healthcare, underfunded public education, shamelessly promoted rapid population growth without building the hospitals or classrooms to handle it." Now they want to scapegoat immigrants for all of it. #ableg #abpoli #cdnpoli
Graphic titled “IMMIGRANTS ARE PART OF THE SOLUTION” with the subtitle “THE FACTS.” Four factual statements appear above an illustration of a row of sharpened wooden pencils. The first states that immigrants make up 23% of Canada’s construction workforce, including 20% of roofers and 16% of electricians. The second states that immigrants make up 25% of registered nurses and 37% of physicians across Canada, while Alberta ranks last among the 10 provinces in per-student education funding. The third states that 90% of immigrants file income taxes in their first year and contribute to provincial revenues from day one. The fourth states that recent immigrants contribute more than $5 billion every year in Alberta taxes, noting that they already contribute to the services they use.
