The only reason people think we have “freedom of press” in the United States is because a majority of the “free press” falls in line with the state(careerists) or at least doesn’t stray too far. The second someone goes too far they send their dogs to squash it.

That being said, I haven’t heard much about the fact that our government is actively supporting monopolization(always has). It was part of the discussion when Trump originally wanted to ban the app but it kind of died out as a topic years ago even though it’s just as much of a factor as the others
