honestly re: reverse engineering it just kinda blows to see your fun hobby get completely blown up by AI shit and people who love the slop machine because it's faster. AI art and shit at least *most* people correctly loathe + shun it, but too many people think that code isn't similarly creative.

A niche little trick for stylized texturing: You can make some super crisp slanted figures without cranking up the texture size to a billion. Just make pixel-perfect horizontal+verticals, and skew the UVs instead. 📐👌 #b3d #gamedev #indiedev

In Super Mario 64, tiny slivers of exposed out-of-bounds areas will cause Mario to bonk if he collides with them. However, the exact same scenario in Super Mario Sunshine is much more cruel to Mario. Here, instead of merely bonking, Mario will break his spine.
