Uninstalled all my games other than the ones I use for note-taking for gamedev. I'm done with games as a medium outside of my project. Once Paint Gal Adventures is finished I'll move to a new hobby that makes me happy. Nothing lasts forever.

Any new mods for older games, static recompiles, homebrews, everything is just all Claude now. Where the fuck is the fun in that? You're supposed to enjoy making something yourself. The state of retro gaming right now is extremely grim. Its extremely hard to find those with genuine interest on the subject and many projects are now made for clip farming or nostalgia baiting. I've decided its best for me to move on from it for extra development time.

Its funny that Paint Gal Adventures has had a similar conceptualization to Banjo where an RPG game I was working on wasn't doing well so I made a platformer about a side character from it instead.

Paint Gal Adventures Demo (SAGE 2026) This is a wonderful throwback to Banjo-Kazooie without the annoying issues that game presents and while I think the dive can be a bit uncontrollable, it never gave me too much frustration and is just a great time. Also the stock sound effects kills me lol
