I was in Utrecht for the annual Velo City conference last week and got to cycle slowly around the world's largest bike parking garage beneath the Centraal station. Room for 12,500 bikes and the first 24h of parking is free

Do people realise that this guy's endorsement of the motion was listed on the briefing booklet for it? Like I actually do personally think all ethnonationalisms are necessarily racist. But I don't believe that stating that was – in good faith – all this motion was intended to do.

1/🧵 A serious analysis. This is disingenuous. We all know there are two legal meanings of the EHRC Code: a generous one and a fair one. The generous legal meaning is that it suggests that trans-exclusionary provision is “legally” safer. The fair one is that it requires trans-exclusionary provision.

Are You Kidding Me?
Can this Great Horned Owl's eyes get any bigger?
I'm excited that my photo "Are You Kidding Me?" was selected as one of just 43 finalists in the Nikon Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards, from more than 10,000 entries representing 112 countries!
The story behind it is just as crazy. I was photographing this seven-week-old owlet when a squirrel suddenly launched from a nearby branch and landed directly on its head, knocking both of them out of the tree.
And believe it or not, a squirrel knocked this same owlet out of the tree THREE TIMES that morning! Fortunately, the owlet was fine and eventually settled down next to its mother.

(photo depicts a squirrel in mid-flight from a tree branch, apparently about to attack an owl who has the most "are you fucking KIDDING me" look in history)second photo showing the squirrel in question making contact with the owl like the lil furry-tailed (if short-sighted) badass he isthird photo showing the squirrel in question making contact with the owl like the lil furry-tailed (if short-sighted) badass he is

Definitionally you're not "in the moment" with what's in front of you if you're looking at a screen. Do tech execs think that the important part is 'appears to have eyes pointing forwards'? Is that why they don't understand human connection?

As I keep saying, the actions of "Labour" only make sense if it is meant to be a biodegradable party, built to implement a religious right wing / neoliberal / big oil programme, regardless of the effect on its electoral prospects. By operating three parties, the Right Wing Insurgency always wins.

Wendy Carlos should be on the 20 dollar bill. There should be a 50-foot-tall, solid-gold statue of her in Pawtucket. You should be able to buy all her albums in any format you want and a line of custom branded synths. She should be a household name along with Bob Moog.
