Data center construction has migrated to places of low resistance: poor, often Black areas where corrupt deals are commonplace and the harms to residents invisible. Lowndes County, Alabama, in the heart of the Black Belt, is one of those places. 🧵 prospect.org/2026/10/01/d...

A grim feature of the death penalty in the US is that it *cannot* be performed by medical professionals, because they're obliged to do no harm. Not only is it randos, but drugs used in MAID aren't generally available because it's a bad look for pharma companies for a *very* niche market.

These ads go in the same category as brazen, easily disproven lies after ICE killings. It’s not about persuasion. It’s a display of power. They could have passed them off as PAC-funded. They added “paid for by the U.S. government” because they want us to know they can break the law with impunity.

Sure "GOP panic" and "blue wave" and all that, but how and why is Oregon's race for Governor a toss-up? Republican Christine Drazan could very possibly be our next Governor, and it's making me sicker by the day.

The random civilian who illegally stole everyone's data & dismantled large chunks of the federal government, in an end run around Article I of the Constitution, should be jailed for life & not have large govt contracts, the ability to contribute to political campaigns, or stakes in large media orgs.

The way "random private citizens can just come in, violate all federal security/privacy laws, & dismantle large swathes of the government that Congress created & funded" has been both memory-holed & normalized simply cannot happen in a constitutional republic. People need to go to jail forever.
