We’re rallying with allies on 29th street in Brooklyn to stop the Gowanus fracked gas power plant proposed for this site by a private equity firm that builds data centers. 😱 Hochul must stop this huge new potential pollution source, which would also raise utility bills!

Today, we proudly joined the @investinourny.bsky.social coalition to support the pied-à-terre tax, which would raise more than $500 MILLION in new revenue by taxing high-value second homes, helping address the city’s budget needs and fund critical services for New Yorkers.

Parts of NYC are about to start flooding. 😢 Climate change is accelerating. Stay safe! The city, led by @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social, should build Green New Deal-scale policy, using Local Law 97 to cut pollution, drive good job creation & reduce energy bills. We need a #GasFreeNYC!

Years ago, we supported the huge CHPE transmission project to bring hydropower from Quebec to NYC. It’s great to see it’s now up and running, lowering both electricity prices and pollution. 🎉 800 megawatts of clean energy is flowing into NYC’s electric grid atm, enough to power 800k homes. 👏
