‘The Release of a Showgirl’ and the explanations of her inspiration behind each song are going to be the “conversation that tore down the whole sky” from the ‘In Summation’ poem. TODAY is the funeral. THIS is the post mortem. Going backwards is the only want to move forward🗝️

and when we look back on this moment in 16 months time we will realise how far we’ve come, i think we underestimated how much of a sociocultural impact taylor and travis are trying to make. this has never just been about two queer people trying to come out. it has always been about so much more 🧵

so stephen isn't really what matters here at all & it definitely isn't an 'all they did was' kind of situation. This should be setting off alarms for everyone. A prominent figure spoke up, really mildly in all honestly, and was swiftly sanctioned by government intertwined media THAT IS THE STORY

the way swifties get mad at T for not moving how they want her to makes me really angry. they expect so much & never seem to consider the person behind the popstar. half the time they’re mad at her for not doing scenarios they made up in their head (red carpet w travis, rep tv announcement, etc.)

Anyone else constantly think about how she played Glitch the one and only time on 6/3/24 and that 2190 days prior to that she had posted this snippet from her Why She Disappeared poem. And Glitch and that poem share a lot of references including the happenstance line.

like yes this is the closeted/hidden side of taylor but ALSO it just hit me the significance of it being a telephone booth and that the character is actively on the phone. Actively communicating from the closet but it is a big game of telephone

Totally normal. Nothing to see here. Try not to read too much into them using the sound of her screeching when she sees “All of the people I've ghosted stand there in the room” when it shows her boyfriend and her parents. And then the sound of her smashing her guitar 12 times 👀
