Not sure if it’s the improved Siri/Spotlight in iOS 27 or if the NYT simply added metadata about Wordle to the app, but this does work now. AGI is here, I guess.

I blew the alternator doing that in my Commodore as a kid. The smoke should’ve been a clue, in hindsight.

It's faster than I expected (at least via GH Copilot). I may have been waiting a bit longer than with Sol, but not much. It's cheaper than I expected: 1x (same as Sol and Sonnet). Given all that, I'll likely make it my daily driver from now on.

It's tasteful. Love the way the end result looks, and the captions it chose for the animation states. It's got real technical chops. I was surprised to find the animation is well-adapted for mobile, even though I didn't specify the requirement explicitly. The JS code is pretty compact, too.

It's powerful. I was able to one-shot this educational animation and get it running in about 10 mins. It's intuitive. Back-and forth conversations to refine the design flowed naturally. Final version took about an hour of my time.

This is peak Microsoft right here. I now have two near-identical Copilot apps on my iPhone. I think one lets me take advantage of my M365 subscription but I can no longer tell which is which.

Instagram’s new growth hack is to send you an email with the subject “See what youragedparents and 8 others shared” to prompt you to log in a check to see if your aged parents have been hacked only to find they haven’t posted since 2017 exactly as you expected.

Just noticed a neat Safari feature on iOS: if you click an image on a web page that spawns an image in a new tab, you can press Back. This closes the new tab and returns you to the original tab and page. Pretty sure in Chrome, Back would be disabled. Has this always been the case?

I closed my laptop for 20 mins to eat dinner, and in the meantime it rebooted itself with no warning to install an update, losing progression in the game (Civ VII) I was playing. SO aggravating. It’s a MacBook, BTW.

But then you go on a stroll with friends to get actually good coffee, and then wander through a forest to a stunning lake with views of towering mountains (all this within 2 miles of the city centre) on a gorgeous summer’s day and you remember how special a city Seattle is.
