i have basically no followers on neocities, and I don't usually get much interaction the few times I link to it offsite. I don't find my site when I try try to find it on search engines. Yet the stats page says I get anywhere from a few dozen to a few hundred visits a day. Is that normal? And why?

all CD packaging is cardboard now, and my preferred music retailer ships everything in cardboard envelopes with no designated opening mechanism. which means it's inevitable that one day i will get a brand new album delivered in the mail and then just rip it in pieces instantly

i agree with writers that we shouldn't forfeit the em dash to GenAI insofar that I enjoy the grammatical function of an em dash. But as a person who is obsessed with keeping metadata tags on my music files consistent, the em dash as a unicode character can go fuck itself
