When I read that inflation was a persuasive argument I remember that people claim that they move to the suburbs for the schools.

We all remember the last time that tried to take away ACA. We fought hard, we made calls, we write emails, we visited the house and the senate. This time will be worse. They are obsessed with killing ACA (aka Obamacare). We will stop them again. Are you in?

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

It's weird that Looking for Alaska is the second-most banned book in the U.S., and mostly challenged by evangelical Christians, because the novel is about Radical Hope and how forgiveness is available to all people at all times, which are Christian concepts I wrote about because I'm a Christian.

We left X and joined Bluesky because those against our parks said, “If you don’t like it, leave.” So we did. And now they’re saying, “No, come back so we can say mean things to you—it makes us feel important.”

people with high priced degrees from prestigious law schools will spend the next four years telling you the text of the fourteenth amendment does not say what it plainly says. This stuff is unconstitutional, no matter what they or one court thinks, and it must be treated as such

Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens. Don’t think it won’t happen again when they come for the “undocumented.”

Post from Latino pollster Mike Madrid:

“Doing some research for an upcoming article on the last “mass deportation” of Mexicans during the 1930’s.

Over half of those deported were US citizens.”
