Gov Jared Polis has granted clemency to election denier Tina Peters. Or rather, Polis granted clemency to the idea that democracy can be vandalized from the inside, by the very officials sworn to protect it, and then excused later as some sort of messy, unfortunate, nonviolent misunderstanding.
