here is what i think: we're not consumers or spectators, we are participants with agency. you should not hope that democrats will do anything. you must work to force them to do the right thing. the odds are long, but we are far from the first americans to face long odds. we will win.

Corporations spent $517 MILLION in the 2026 election cycle alone. That's nearly 1/3 of ALL corporate political spending since the 2010 Citizens United Decision. Corporate domination of our elections has long been a problem, and now it’s getting MUCH worse.

one interesting thing so far about loudly hating AI is the way AI lovers are like "wow so you're just totally closed off to hearing another perspective??" as if their perspective hasn't been relentlessly pushed down our throats with no space to push back (particularly in professional settings)

the next governor of Minnesota: school lunches are too glamorous
Klobuchar also took a dig at the Democratic-Farmer-Labor trifecta in 2023 and 2024, which spent the state’s then-$18 billion budget surplus. The trifecta made significant investments in education, housing and in the creation of a state-run paid leave program.

She said that had she been governor at the time, she would have put more money into “things that just aren’t that glamorous,” such as improving water and sewer systems and modernizing computer systems for counties and state government. Doing the latter might have helped government more easily monitor potential fraud.
