I’ll be honest: things haven’t stopped being desperate on my end. I have enough to pay my back rent but I’m already not going to be able to afford my next month’s rent due to my increasing sickness and having to use money for more expensive groceries and necessities since I don’t have an income.

I promise I am generally open minded about adaptations of my favorite books but learning that the new P&P’s Wickham is played by the former Mr. Olivia Rodrigo and that he’s YOUNGER than the actress playing Lydia has sent me into a fit of incredulous giggles. Like… what?

I finished reading Howl’s Moving Castle today and tbh maybe I just need to reread it with the full context of the plot in mind, or maybe I’ve just aged out of the story, but… overall I didn’t care for it that much 😬

It took a lost, frightened mastiff about a month to find safe harbor in Long Beach, but it probably felt like 10 years to her. Read more about Odette’s amazing Odyssey from @lastwhomstanding.bsky.social on the Watchdog. lbwatchdog.com/odettes-odys...

Okay so discomfort with some of the main creatives of Jane Eyre (2011) aside, I do still really enjoy the movie but from strictly an adaptation perspective I don’t love it like I did when I was younger.

Beginning Sept. 15, 2026, most students entering the U.S. on visas for international students and exchange visitors, will no longer be admitted for “duration of status.” Duration of status means they can remain in the U.S. as long they are enrolled in their academic program, or shortly thereafter.

I love my dad and hate arguing with him but I literally just had this conversation with him after his second cat in a year died from being outdoors

Tweet that says: “My neighbor told me coyotes keep eating his outdoor cats so I asked how many cats he has and he said he just goes to the shelter and gets a new cat afterwards so I said it sounds like he’s just feeding shelter cats to coyotes and then his daughter started crying.”
