I’ll be honest: things haven’t stopped being desperate on my end. I have enough to pay my back rent but I’m already not going to be able to afford my next month’s rent due to my increasing sickness and having to use money for more expensive groceries and necessities since I don’t have an income.

I promise I am generally open minded about adaptations of my favorite books but learning that the new P&P’s Wickham is played by the former Mr. Olivia Rodrigo and that he’s YOUNGER than the actress playing Lydia has sent me into a fit of incredulous giggles. Like… what?

Macklemore has announced that he was being removed from Ed Sheeran's tour after a pressure campaign from stadium owners over his pro-Palestinian stance. “We have been notified by venues on the upcoming U.S. tour dates that they will not allow a concert to take place with Macklemore on the lineup.”

NB: I have seen the Studio Ghibli adaptation and I remember liking it well enough, but it’s been years and years and I’ve never felt compelled to revisit it, nor do I recall most of its contents (I know it differs from the book)

I finished reading Howl’s Moving Castle today and tbh maybe I just need to reread it with the full context of the plot in mind, or maybe I’ve just aged out of the story, but… overall I didn’t care for it that much 😬

It’s not any specific thing the film does but more a pile of creative choices that add up to mild dissatisfaction. The early parts of the book get short shrift (tho I hear every adaptation does this), the characters/tone is just slightly too austere for the book (which while gothic is…

Beginning Sept. 15, 2026, most students entering the U.S. on visas for international students and exchange visitors, will no longer be admitted for “duration of status.” Duration of status means they can remain in the U.S. as long they are enrolled in their academic program, or shortly thereafter.
