I used to go to the ByWard. New to Ottawa (Kanata) in 1992, I found it was the only farmers' market/concentration of specialty foods I knew of in Ottawa. Today, as the article points out, markets and specialty foods are everywhere, and that's not a bad thing. www.ottawalookout.com/p/why-farmer...

Why farmers are leaving the ByWard Market — and how the city hopes to bring them back
As the district has evolved, the presence of farmers has dwindled to just a few permanent produce stalls among the artisans and other businesses.

Most "wealth" is unspendable. It's often based on hinky math/inaccessible (tech stock/options) or a store of value (real estate, etc) which is also largely illiquid. It's not that these people can't access more money than they can ever spend. They can. But they can't access all their wealth.

Sophie Wilson (born 1957), a legendary British computer scientist, stands proudly beside a massive, intricate blueprint of a microprocessor circuit. Wilson is celebrated for co-designing the original ARM architecture, the high-efficiency technology that powers nearly every modern smartphone and tablet. She is shown from the waist up, looking directly at the camera with a confident and knowing smile. Her blonde hair is styled in a sleek, chin-length bob with bangs. She wears a professional grey blazer over a bold leopard-print top, accessorized with a colorful beaded necklace and a silver brooch. Her right hand reaches out to point at a tiny, physical microchip held against the giant schematic, perfectly illustrating the staggering scale of her engineering feat—condensing immense complexity into a microscopic silicon chip. The background is a brightly lit, modern office space with large windows, placing her in the environment where her innovations continue to shape the digital world. The mood is one of quiet triumph, capturing a pioneer whose work fundamentally changed global communication.

Right: A weird looking politician with pink skin, beady eyes, and bright yellow hair slicked back on its head. It's Canada's 2nd lowest rated premier, Doug Ford.
