Hiding inside season 2 of Guy Ritchie's THE GENTLEMEN on Netflix is one of the year's best action movies. Ep 7, "This Mad Circus," directed by Nick Rowland, is a lean, terrific exercise in steadily escalating tension and stakes, with a showcase performance for Vinnie Jones, the series's quiet MVP.

VSP traffic stop data for August shows Greene County's reported percentage of Latino-driver traffic stops starting to rise again -- 15%, vs. 13% in July, 17% (as initially reported) in June, and 19% in May. But those numbers, assuming they're complete and accurate, don't quite tell the whole story.

Watching (and enjoying) Guy Ritchie's THE GENTLEMEN (TV edition), I'm struck by the difference between his gilded view of hereditary peerage (both his parents remarried aristos) and Matthew Vaughn's (illegitimate, disowned son of nobility) in the KINGSMAN movies. Fascinating contrast.

Got these photos from Greene County sources who say they were taken this morning. The photos have changed hands enough times that they lack metadata, but landmarks in the images suggest they're just outside Creekside Ranches off Preddy Creek Road. www.google.com/maps/place/R...

On a rural road, a dark gray Hyundai hatchback is either turned or stopped in the opposite lane, in front of either three vehicles from the Greene County Sheriff's Office, or two sheriff's vehicles -- a cruiser up front and a white transport van behind -- surrounding a third white vehicle. One sheriff's deputy is visible, standing in front of the open door of the cruise. A second figure who may either be a deputy or an ICE agent, dressed in quasi-military gear, stands near the driver's door of the white van. Signs in the image identify this as Preddy Creek Road, with a sign advertising Ryan Homes's Creekside development.

In a second photo, the gray Hyundai is no longer in frame, and it seems clearer that two sheriff's vehicles have surrounded a third white SUV-type vehicle.
