我覺得()最好的一點還是,你不能救贖死人,因為死人已經死了,你只能通過“救贖”死人來救贖自己,來救贖未來……

Ursula K. Le Guin, spitting truth.
Hence some of the pitfalls of writing on the Internet, highly visible in e-mail, blogs, and responses to blogs. The mechanical ease and immediacy of electronic communication are deceptive. People write hurriedly, don't reread what they wrote, misread and are misread, get into quarrels, hurl insults, and use flame-throwers because they expect their writing to be understood as if they were talking.
It's childish to assume people will understand unexpressed meanings. It's dangerous to confuse self-expression with communication.

I stopped writing about cybernetics, surveillance, recognition, and control society after the last two books and 4 articles because at this point Labour teaming up with Palantir via Oswald Mosley's grandson to build a panopticon says enough. The only rational thing to do with such toys is break them

More fun facts: Around 18% to 30% of all domestic rams demonstrate some homosexual behavior. Females that were fraternal twins with a male fetus are called "freemartins" as they are often masculinised in utero and exhibit intersex traits-- and they may court other ewes the same way a ram would.

the “dark” ages vs the “information age”
A rectangle sub-divided into four rectangles in a meme format. The upper left says “medieval” opposite the upper right which consists of a manuscript opening (The Lichfield Gospels, pp. 140-141); the lower left says “‘mid’ evil” opposite the lower right which is a screenshot of the ‘AI Overview’ that appears at the top of many Google searches.

We are legitimately looking at a genocide against trans people in the United States. That's not hyperbole. The Department of Justice isn't talking about disarming us so that we can all live quietly in peace. There is still time to stop this, but only if cis people care enough.

Podcast cover for Episode #8 of "Future Knowledge" titled "The Library: A Fragile History." The design features portraits of the three guests—Abby Smith Rumsey, Andrew Pettegree, and Arthur der Weduwen—arranged in a grid. Surrounding them are collage-style retro-futuristic elements including a classical statue head, a vintage computer with the word "NEW" on its screen, a modernist observation tower, and abstract architectural shapes. The title uses bold, blocky typography, giving the cover a vintage sci-fi aesthetic.
