I booted up Fallout 4 for the first time in a LONG time (maybe a year?) so I could install all the new updates and check them out. Played it for about 10 minutes. I fast traveled to my home base and the game crashed. Oh, Todd.

The Dynasty Warriors 3 Remake demo is what I expected. I'm not impressed or unimpressed. It's "the original game with a facelift and a couple of new mechanics". My major disappointment is that key characters like Yuan Shu didn't get updated character models, and still look like generic officers.

I've been playing a lot of Bloodborne lately and reflecting on Fromsoft games, and the current state they're in post-Elden Ring. This is a hot take, but I think the next thing they should try is to make a game that plays like Bloodborne or whatever, but all the Fromsofty bullshit is removed.

What I gather based on what I've read of the "Wolverine" reviews is that it's an extremely by-the-book AAA game. It doesn't nothing out of the ordinary. It's a game you've played 20 times already, just with Wolverine. So, basically, it's like Spider-Man 2. I'm sorta fine with that, tbh.

I'm watching a "behind the scenes" thing about Jabba, and before they dubbed his voice over in Huttese, they had him speaking in English. He has a pretty cool voice and one thing he says to Luke is "I was killing your kind back when it meant something to be a Jedi." That's a pretty cold line.

MGS4 has been on my mind lately because of the new collection...for all that game's story problems, it does a good job of ending the whole "saga". I'm not an MGS lore expert, but AFIK there's nowhere for the story to go forward after MGS4 in a way that anyone would like.

I thought I drew an arm too short, so I set up a model using a 1/6 scale figure in the exact pose and angle (well, close enough). I compared my drawing to the photo, and the arm I drew was actually a little longer than it should have been.

I've been playing Bloodborne again lately, and one thing I really hope Fromsoft gets away from in future IPs is the "lulz no" style of combat. Like you attack, the enemy flinches in your direction and interrupts you. You try to get around them, they swing and hit you. You heal. They hit you.
