How interesting that Meta called @wired.com "dishonest" and then (quietly) removed the face-recognition system it had previously (also quietly) integrated into an app downloaded onto 50 million phones. Dishonest!

I just had my thyroid scanned (everything is fine). Compared to the USA this was an amazingly efficient process. Dozens of people getting different kinds of scans. Clean, modern, spacious, fast, and free. (I live in Vienna)

Once upon a time I taught Science with Wilson Powell's daughter. He worked with Lawrence and Oppenheimer on magnetic igniters for the bomb. I re-connected after seeing the movie. Excited to talk about it with her. I feel haunted by it - can only imagine how she's feeling.
