They started out that way. They've regressed, and I've not held them to task. I've also been working 60+ hour weeks, we've had several major emergencies (both house and health) in the 2 years since we moved to OH, and we're trying to Reno the house. They just slowly stopped acting like they cared.

Considering they drive my car and are on my cell phone plan, they don't want to leave. They don't want to lose those free perks. They don't want to lose being 20-somethings with no bills and built in babysitting for the 5 year old. But it will be their choice. Their actions will speak for them.

We took her and our oldest back in ~4 years ago, when their roommates refused to take safety precautions for COVID. Now they're refusing to take safety precautions for anything, when 5 different infections are spiking in our area & E.R.s have day-long waits. We're unreasonable?

On the one hand it's been 2 years since we moved North and we still have no local friends, much less potential partners. On the other hand Mrs. AP is immunocompromised and the pandemic has never really gone away, just mildly reduced, so leaving the house is a risky endeavor. I hate this timeline.

Mrs. AP found the source of the furniture we want -- those who make it for the U.S. "manufacturer" -- and thought we'd be able to furnish bedrooms on the cheap-ish. BUT! ... It ships from China, we can't guarantee it would be here before Jan. 20, and we can't afford the incoming tariffs. Fuck!

I too dread shoe shopping. I'm walking around with (U.S. sizing) 8 ½ EEEE (Extra-Extra Wide) feet that don't fit inside most brands without stretching/breaking seams along the sides. The only two brands I know I can sometimes trust are Asics and New Balance. 🫤

There's so much data to have to decide to consider in those equations, too. Actual climate and projections therefore. Political climate and projections thereof. Cost of living. Proximity to experiences you know you enjoy. Proximity to New experiences you'd like to try. Etc. But I know triumph.
