I usually get pretzels when I go to bars or breweries Today I'm at Short's Brewing in Bellaire, MI 4/5 pretzel. Could be a bit softer, but still very good. Mustard dipping sauce is excellent, garlic butter is also really good. PB+J is interesting but still good.

Part of the problem is some people don't want to believe the "other side" is actually full of Nazis. That's a step too far for people I had an argument with a non-R friend that said it was not accurate to call Trump/ICE Nazis, basically saying they wouldn't be Nazis "until there were death camps"

The MOE was larger than a point, so I don't think we can classify that as a miss Polls were off in 2020 bc COVID, otherwise they've generally been fine. Even in 2016 they weren't far off, it was more of a response of people not believing Trump could win and people not knowing how to aggregate polls

I'm just like, really tired of all the misplaced polling dooming lately. There's no real reason for it other than Dems like to freak out about things because Trump is so terrible. But really, Dems have outperformed a lot more than they "should" have during the Trump era. Trust the numbers!

Pollsters didn't get their turnout models as accurate in those polls (partially due to Covid screwing with how pollsters reached people) But polls in 2022 and 2024 had adjusted for those things (and started weighting by recalled vote) and were very accurate! www.gelliottmorris.com/p/2026-09-15...

So a few things: I think people have memory-holed this but Gideon wasn't leading by *that much* in the run-up to the election. Within the MOE Covid really screwed up polling across the country (Biden was leading by like 10 points in WI I remember but only won it by less than a point) continued...

It's true Brown does usually outperform, but in '24 he pissed off a lot of the base (trans & black folk) and he's not great on Israel. He's also 73 Amy has stumbled, but Vivek is in my mind radioactive (also some Rs don't like that he's Not Christian). Amy was also unifying during COVID. So idk
