Also, you don't even have to learn it fully before trying to speak it to people. People are generally very happy just for making the effort. Personal experience

If you've got some free time on your hands one of the best things you can do is to learn a language. It doesn't matter which language it is, learning any language makes the world a smaller place and brings you closer together with people you wouldn't otherwise speak to.

Magical creatures don’t exist, eh? Roughly 400 million years ago, before the birth of trees, there were giant mystery cones called “Prototaxites,” which grew nearly 30 feet tall. We literally have no idea what they were. Plant: no Mushroom: no Animal: no Tell me this isn’t a little bit magic

Pete is lost in terms of modern war. I use the example of this outgunned Ukrainian army officer who successfully terrorized a Russian unit for weeks because she "did the math." At the time, someone commented, "yeah, in combat, 'I did the math' beats 'I can do 100 pushups' every time."
Ukrainian female soldier: Okay, I said the idea is this: There is enough time to empty one full can of 32 grenades and be gone by the time the return mortar fire reaches us. I did the math.

Because as I understand it, the deal for new countries joining the EU is they have to accept Schengen and the Euro. But there's a decent chance the EU would accept the UK back without Schengen/Euro

The Honda special livery for Motegi, celebrating 60 years of grand prix racing. A throwback to the RC181, the first 500 they race in 1966. Stunning.
The Honda RC213V in the special livery they are using at Motegi. The tank and tail are red, the fairing silver, the same colour scheme they used in their first foray into Grand Prix racing in 1966. There's a large round Castrol logo on the side where on the original, the yellow and black number was

I remember seeing years ago on Twitter a video of a street fight where one fella was strutting around doing tricks, high kicks, cartwheels before he engaged, trying to intimidate with his flash fighting skills. His opponent decked him with one punch. Reminds me a lot of Hegseth. Peak loser shit

So the police brought out the counter-terrorism and explosives units, just to be safe. Not really an overreaction, just turned out to be far more than necessary. Racist politicians announce it's *definitely* Iranian terrorists who crossed the channel in small boats for some reason to do terrorism.

At around the same time, one of the men called police himself. We're not sure why, possibly he realised they had been noticed by a farmer. Farmers have shotguns. The village is near an RAF base used by the USAF, which has been on raised alert after threats from Iran, which it is used to bomb.

In case people are not fully across the Fairford story: What appears to have happened is that five men from London went to a small country village in the middle of the night to siphon fuel for resale. In small country villages, people notice things, especially at 1am. A farmer called the police.

If you want to build a major transport hub "not even a mile" from a minor railway station is a problem. I get the hill thing (my Dad did his apprenticeship in the old GE plant at the bottom of the hill), but it's an urban planning disaster. Rental cars are a bus ride away, no rail station.

Yeah, keeping the bore limit is the only way of capping revs and power outputs. But they are going to be fast. That's what racing is for. The experience with Pirelli is that they produce tyres which are fast over 1 lap but the drop is much bigger, so race times are slower
