"That constant loop of failure didn't speak to as many people as we hoped it would." Extraction isn't a mass market genre and never will be for this exact reason. Doesn't mean games in the genre can't be successful, but you can't find the success a Bungie would need. Good on 'em for seeing it.

Okay, so you’re making Obsidian a Bethesda studio. Can we consolidate Megadeth and Metallica? What if we fold Wordsworth and Coleridge under a shared name going forward, since they produced roughly comparable works. It’s not cultural obscenity, it’s streamlining.

Spent an hour making deliveries in Wardogs earlier. Definitely not as exciting as combat medic, but you do get in your own brand of misadventures, like almost flipping every 12 seconds, picking up hitchhikers, and occasionally weaving past gunfire to deliver sandbags. Pretty lucrative, too 💵🫰

It's this bit that really gives away that, to Brammer, crunch isn't a practical reality, but a loyalty test. The gall to suggest that "if you really care about what you're making," you're down for some crunch, baby. 👎

Dabbled in this over the weekend and Wardogs has serious heat. Genuinely brilliant economy design that keeps matches propulsive, without demanding mil-sim or FPS expertise to thrive. Supporting the team as spotter, builder, pilot all contribute and profit as much as any kill streak. Just excellent

At this point I’m convinced someone at Valve has way too much power and is a big prude. A company this rich should have much better classification processes. A committee, even, that reviews hours of footage or — gasps — plays a game before deciding its fate so definitively.
