The working royals rarely seem to make the paper blush this hard. And what was this breathless “exclusive” actually about? Harry and Meghan went to the pub, held hands, ate lunch and left. That was apparently enough for The Sun to turn an ordinary meal into a front-page royal event. Prince Harry and Meghan Sussex held hands as they walked to The Falkland Arms in Great Tew, Oxfordshire, where Harry reportedly ordered a chicken, ham and leek pie while Meghan chose gluten-free fish and chips.

It’s Black History Month in the UK, and King Charles is preparing for a Caribbean tour that will take him to The Bahamas, Guyana and Antigua and Barbuda without offering a formal apology for Britain’s role in the transatlantic slave trade. Buckingham Palace says Charles will acknowledge what he has previously called the “darkest days of our past.” But there will be no apology and no commitment to financial reparations.
