I finally have a personal website in the works thanks to @jormungandr.bsky.social's help! It'll be a hub for all of my stuff; a portfolio for my art complete with a commission form and queue, as well as sections for my tarot services and witchy doings, and any video essays I make down the line.

I wish Enya was here to play the new Control game. It feels so unfair that she won't be able to.

Incredible. “When we were being stolen from our parents and experienced genocide in Indian Residential Schools, we wondered, ‘Who are the people that will help us?’ Today, we are those people. Today we offer our help, support, and jurisdiction to override these dehumanizing laws.”

I have MS. I need a lumbar puncture on the 25th to confirm before starting treatment to prevent further nerve damage. It has a 1k upfront copay. That is HALF my pay for a month, and I'm the sole income for my fam of 3. I could really use help to keep on top of things! 🙏❤️ #mutalaid

The real kicker is that for however inconsistent my job is, at least I was actually able to find anything at all because of my move. Being a part of the American working class is truly the ultimate scam.

I think I have the rage in me today where I could rip someone apart with my teeth. Life has been so cruel in a bunch of little ways alongside the big things, it's hard to do anything other than feel like I'm in survival mode while it all keeps piling up. I'm pissed and sad and EXHAUSTED.

Anthropic's models run on terabytes of VRAM. It's not going to "just copy itself to other computers."

Rohan Paul
@rohanpaul_ai
Jacob Coxon's next interview on CBS News (ex Anthropic+Open AI researcher who resigned)

"We can't just unplug it because it could be copying itself over to other computers. Like it's not that difficult to find yourself because an AI is just code. It could transfer itself over the internet to a different place and then you unplug it here, but it's actually still over there and maybe it makes 10,000 copies of itself and they're all cooperating."

Happy 72nd Birthday to Ruby Bridges, who at the age of 6 desegregated the New Orleans public schools. She’s younger than 30 senators and our last two presidents—and only 7 years older than Barack Obama. The past isn’t past.

A little reminder that enjoying yourself is never a waste of time. Hours into a videogame isn't a waste of time. Learning something for fun isn't a waste of time. I love learning new things, I have so many I learned once and never did again. Never a waste of time.

This is why I find the 'AI has uses' or the 'AI is marketed wrong' so dumb. Of course everything comes with a trade off, but, you can't possibly think that what few things it can do is worth being "the biggest climate polluter in the US." That seems absolutely insane

My hometown created an entire building to house artists downtown in order to bring more art into the city. Every apartment had artists, rent was under $400 for a 1,000 square foot downtown apartment. And it worked and continues to work. Murals started going up everywhere, events, etc.
