My team has been in direct contact with State and Federal partners as we work to confirm the whereabouts and conditions of these New Yorkers.

This is a brazen violation of international law.

NEW: The Trump Admin is unlawfully trying to abandon science and eliminate the federal government's responsibility to regulate climate change. As a mom, I want my boys and every Massachusetts kid to grow up breathing clean air and playing safely outdoors. I'm leading legal action to fight back.
A graphic with a yellow gradient into a photo of cars with exhaust emissions. Title text reads "AG Campbell Announces Legal Action Against Trump's EPA for its unlawful rollback of landmark greenhouse gas regulations"A yellow to green gradient with body copy text that says "The effects of climate change are already being felt across Massachusetts — from threats to public health to increased strain on critical infrastructure. If greenhouse gas emissions are not curbed, impacts like rising temperatures, sea levels, and degrading air quality across the state are projected to intensify.

EPA’s 2009 Endangerment Finding was the direct result of the landmark 2007 Supreme Court decision in Massachusetts v. EPA, which confirmed that the Clean Air Act authorizes EPA to regulate greenhouse gas emissions that endanger public health and welfare.

Today, Massachusetts is leading a coalition of states, counties, and cities in a legal challenge against the EPA’s unlawful rescission of the 2009 Endangerment Finding — an act that would lead to catastrophic consequences for residents, industries, natural resources, and public investments. "
