We are in the middle of spooky month, so let's talk about a famous costume: the Plague Doctor. With its bird like mask and dark robes it is an iconic design, but let's be clear, it is not medieval, at all.
It comes from a 17th century engraving of a physician, and it is part of a satirical book.
