Students made their first minicomics in my intro making course - mostly standard format but this student, a first time maker(!), did something so off the charts I’m still reeling from it! & he made like 12 of them for his classmates! A paper engineering feat of flipbookery as well as killer drawing!

I don't get the "You haven't watched multiseason prestige crime drama?" I don't doubt the quality of the shows, but it's not a genre everyone enjoys. Hanging out with people doing horrible things to each other for dozens of hours doesn't appeal to everyone.

Final form? It has everything I hate about food mascots. Mainly it's the ambiguity of the creature. Is it a living donut? Does it merely look like a donut? What is it's internal organ structure? If it eats donuts, is that cannabilism, predation or the equivalent of people eating gingerbread men?
