There was a Lain exhibit, & I realized a CRT setup either needs to be 100% square & symmetrical, or messy as shit. Anything in the middle is just extra noise. It's kind of like how nobody talks about "mid" anime. You want something to go fully in one direction. The middle ground is where it sucks

I just want it to be known that I was saying Garchomp Z was good before Reg MC started. Fast mono-Dragon type with a solid SpAtk stat and good movepool was pretty much always gonna be good. It losing its Ground typing and "only" getting Levitate was probably a blessing.

Emi Sakura's post about PAC is breaking my heart

The first time I spoke with him was in Ireland in 2018. When you're living in an English-speaking country, Japanese suddenly reaches your ears in a startling way. Our conversations always started with his "Otsukaresamade-su." Backstage, I wouldn't sense his presence at all, but then those words would arrive right by my ear like the wind. And so I'd search for him. There's no English phrase that translates it just right—its meaning encompasses hello, long time no see, glad to see you, good work, goodbye, good night, see you later, and all sorts of other things rolled into one. I think it's the kind of greeting that comes from the way he's confronted pro wrestling in Japan. It's time. As always, I grab my bag and climb into the car. I can't believe the show goes on. Today and from here on out, forever, I know I'll keep straining to listen. Thank you, PAC.

I'm going through my annual tradition of making a metric fuckton of chicken stock today. I decided to ramp up the amount of chicken to 10lbs per gallon of water and cut back on the vegetables this time. I'll start canning all of it tomorrow.

A pot filled with a combination of chicken parts - 3 lbs each of declawed chicken feet and wings and 4 lbs of bone-in breasts

The same pot of chicken with additional herbs and vegetables and 1 gallon of spring water

The chicken and vegetables being strained after 90 minutes of cooking at 15psi

The first batch of stock before final straining and skimming

I had 2 separate people cut me off from behind while merging onto a highway today and one of them was a jacked up pickup that rode my bumper for a couple of miles beforehand and flipped me the bird/blasted their horn as they did it. They were flying past people on an 80MPH highway after.
