The gyn I waited 6 months to move to when my previous one retired apparently left town earlier this year, & that practice stopped taking my insurance. Currently waiting 7 months for a new Dr for what has become a biannual exam. Thank goodness I do telehealth for my actual rx.

Just saw that Glasto tickets are now £408 😱 There is no way I'd ever have gone if that had been the price point then, so had to look it up: £49 Got an awful sunburn & ended up really sick afterwards, plus missed out on attending with the love of my life, but still counts as a time the stars aligned!

I had a retail job back in the day with this rule for anyone assigned to the register. If you didn't already have physical issues, you sure did by the time you quit! Total nightmare, meant we spent a lot of time looking for opportunities to sit, and really encouraged positive attitudes 🙄

I had to mail something across town (probably ~8 miles & 2 local post offices in between). It took 5 days, including a journey to the nearest major city 50+ miles away before making its way back here. I didn't need more incentive to drop my ballot off in person, but the increased vagaries do help 😬

And so it continues... Our economic debates seem utterly disconnected from the reality. That reality: This is an economy mostly creating healthcare jobs, and it does so month after month, and everything else is just noise.
Line chart titled "Effectively all of the net job creation has been in healthcare and social assistance, and jobs are shrinking in the rest of the economy" showing change in non-farm payrolls since January 2025 through September 2026. Healthcare and social assistance added 998,000 jobs with consistent growth throughout the period, while the rest of the economy lost 222,000 jobs, meaning all net job creation came from healthcare. The rest of the economy showed particular weakness from May through August 2025 when losses reached 218,000 jobs. This striking divergence reveals an unusual concentration where one sector's growth of roughly 48,000 jobs per month has offset persistent contraction across all other industries combined.
