Stories like this have, for ages, treated men's desire to harm women as a sort of background noise, a weather we just normalize and accept and try to work around. Feminism is among other things a process of denormalization.

Finally, I moved my blogs from Google to Wordpress to avoid the former. However, honestly, using Wordpress is not as easy as Google. Hard, but I choose to stick to my tendency. New blog: mingdu9.wordpress.com Old blog: mingyuwriting.blogspot.com

Bravo Bristol. The ban covers advertising of petrol, diesel and hybrid-electric vehicles and SUV’s, flights, airports, cruise holidays and travel agents, firms and lobbying related to the fossil fuel industry, and marketing that encourages excessive consumption of fashion products or trends.

There is a REASON why there was SUCH an effort to prevent Native Americans, Black people, & women from being able to read. Reading is literally power. Education is political strength. If you hate your healthcare coverage, how little you get paid, your high rent, grocery prices--READ. Please READ.

Funny to know that the post wrote by 'director of research integrity at the publisher Frontiers' about using 'AI' to support peer review turns out to be 100% 'AI'-generated 😂

Original Tweet from @Mantia: What’s something that seems obvious within your profession, but the general public seems to misunderstand?

Quote tweet from @hwitteman: That $35 that scientific journals charge you to read a paper goes 100% to the publisher, 0% to the authors. If you just email us to ask for our papers, we are allowed to send them to you for free, and we will be genuinely delighted to do so.

An intersting thing about science is that the more you dive into it, the more you feel that you know nothing more than an adult banana. How it could be so miserable sometimes.

I’m challenging the presumption that we must rank papers at all. Why not see it for what it is: a piece of knowledge, disseminated at the end of an investigation. Like my blog posts and YouTube videos, they may be useful to some people immediately, eventually, or not at all. 🤷

Funny that sometimes the review authors draw the right opposite conclusion from their supporting articles. Even worse, these reviews have been published on the high-quality ( at least people thinks so) publications.
