Baffling judgment. Sharing an extraordinary cancer-treatment claim from an apparent Joe Tippens IVM-touting impersonator, then noting the PET images looked doctored (only after @DrArturoAI flagged that). “Keep an open mind” shouldn’t mean skipping basic source verification.

I don’t often compliment Oncotarget, but credit where it’s due: the journal has been remarkably busy cleaning up the scientific record in 2026. Retractions, corrections, and editorial notes make up almost two-thirds of its output so far. 😸
Pie chart of Oncotarget’s 84 publications in 2026 through September 15: 36 retractions (42.9%), 14 corrections (16.7%), 4 editorial notes/concerns (4.8%), 6 COVID-related publications (7.1%), and 24 other publications (28.6%). Retractions, corrections, and editorial notes together account for 54 of 84 items (64.3%), almost two-thirds of the total. Categories are approximate and some classifications may differ. Chart created with the assistance of ChatGPT.
