very weird -- Newt Gingrich was on Hannity tonight, but Hannity didn't even mention the fact that Hegseth bizarrely included him today (along with Elon Musk and Palmer Luckey) as a co-leader of "Project Meridian" (whatever that is)

The fact is Trump not only lost his war but it's the biggest L the US has taken at least since Vietnam. Our bases are destroyed & abandoned, Iran is emboldened, China is toying w/ us. Hegseth & co want to move on to culture war slop, but they got routed & we'll be dealing w/repercussions for decades

“Patel is apparently planning a trip to Russia, a country that (a) is no friend of the United States nor the FBI specifically and yet (b) is quite friendly with Patel, including via a ‘Russia-linked production company’ that evidently previously paid Patel $25,000 to appear in an anti-FBI TV series.”

This is one of the most maddening thigns about this court: Not just the substantive rulings, but how they think about “irreperable harm.” If the Most Special Boy has to wait a month to do a thing he REALLY wants to, that’s irreperable harm. Actual large-scale human suffering? Meh.

what horrible stuff, using threats of abuse & violence - which this statement more or less admits - to get people to leave the us. we'll remember this when the time for accountability comes. www.nytimes.com/2026/09/29/u...
James Percival, the top lawyer at the Department of Homeland Security, celebrated the court’s ruling. In a statement, he called it a “victory.”

“A bad day for criminal illegals and open borders activists alike,” he said. “It’s not too late to get $3,000 and a flight home.” He ended his statement with a link to department instructions for immigrants on how to self-deport.
