For some reason, Bows + Arrows wasn't in the database, but we'll have to make do with the Little House of Savages EP I guess.

It's striking to see disinfo abroad move through the exact same channels on social media as when it is spread here (usually in service of the Administration or far-right groups). There is unfortunately a shared project of RW parties across the globe to undermine the pillars of liberal democracy.

Sucks to suck, brother!
ETHAN HARPER, the general counsel to Sen. ERIC SCHMITT (R-Mo.), was expected to leave his role on Friday and begin a new one in the White House Staff Secretary’s office next week, according to three people familiar with the plans granted anonymity to discuss them.

But that transition was in doubt today following a congressional hearing that’s embroiled Schmitt in controversy, the people said.

Harper was the staffer standing behind Schmitt, holding up a board displaying screenshots of text messages as the senator falsely accused JACK SMITH of lying to Congress about attending a basketball game as a guise to investigate President DONALD TRUMP.

The evidence on the board did not establish that Smith was at an Atlanta Hawks game as Schmitt hoped. Smith said he recalled attending a University of Maryland women’s basketball game around that time, where former Iowa star CAITLIN CLARK was playing. Sen. AMY KLOBUCHAR (D-Minn.) suggested Schmitt had confused the Iowa Hawkeyes with the Atlanta Hawks.

There is no evidence Harper was responsible for the gaffe.

Harper’s move to the White House was set before Tuesday’s hearing, according to two of the people.

Harper’s planned move would take him from Schmitt’s office to the White House office that manages the flow of documents and other materials to the president.

Harper, a Harvard Law graduate, previously worked for Sen. JOSH HAWLEY (R-Mo.) and D. JOHN SAUER, then Missouri’s solicitor general. He also clerked for Judge W. DUANE BENTON of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

VERY interesting development. This kind of puts a16z on an island as the main funders of Leading the Future. Is this future-proofing for a potential Dem Congress? LTF has obviously given to Dem primary candidates, but given the donor crossover between it and MAGA Inc, it coded conservative.

I have generally tried not to think too much about the 2028 primary until after the midterms, but one of my baseline questions for any candidate is "what will you do to investigate and prosecute the people behind the destruction of USAID?" and "if you don't know, do you need help with that?"

No, actually. It's constitutionally protected speech. And I say this as someone who worked in Pentagon Public Affairs. Hegseth's speech today is considerably more dangerous to the United States than any criticism from a press outlet.

Seth Harp quote-tweeting a Xinhua propaganda tweet about female LEOs in Xinjiang looking like models and writing, "Kids today won’t believe this but at the height of the GWOT the US media had everyone believing that China was doing a literal genocide on Muslims because the CCP wouldn’t let the Uighurs traffic NATO dope from Afghanistan into Xinjiang. They literally called it a genocide!"

I'm sorry, I was unaware that GOP operatives were this delusional. Trump has "become" one of the elites? He was best friends with Epstein before he ever got into politics! They're worried Vance is getting too close to VC cronies? What was his profession before all of this and who was his mentor??
Across the room, another party operative seemed to be wondering what they were getting for it.

“What are we doing here? We’re all going to lose.” he said.

“We’ve known this is all over for two months. It’s over. I guess we’re just supposed to party until then?”

The next night, another Trump ally offered a diagnosis: Trump had become the thing he came in to defeat—one of the elites. In this person’s telling, the crypto, the tech bros, the ballroom, the Epstein coverup, and the never-ending war in Iran were making that impossible for his base to ignore.

This person was worried about the future of the party, and about how it was rubbing off on JD Vance, who they said had gotten too close to the cronies. People like Omeed Malik, the president of 1789 Capital, the investment firm where Don Jr. is his business partner. Malik was an early backer of Tucker Carlson’s media company, and this summer he hosted Vance at his Hamptons home for a fundraiser that raised more than $5 million for the RNC.

A long way from the forgotten working-class voters Vance built his political identity around.

The definition of nepotism used in this article is not how it's commonly applied by most people (esp those who aren't billionaires' kids). If I work on the Hill and hire a CEO's kid because their resume was sent to me by their dad, a big donor, how is that not textbook nepotism?

Again, this is what Tucker says to normal audiences. To his own audience, literally today, he went on a deranged rant about, among other things, how Oswald Mosley wasn’t a Nazi.
I know, buddy, you did that during World War II. When the very first thing the British government did was imprison the opposition party, called them Nazis, which they weren't, run by one of the great war heroes of the First World War, Oswald Mosley. Oh, he was a Nazi.
No, he wasn't. If he was a Nazi, he'd be living in Britain, in Germany. He didn't want the war.
And he has been slandered ever since. It's like scary even to defend him. I'm not even defending the guy.
