just the most pathetic dipshit loser
Pete Hegseth served in the National Guard for 19 years, leaving as a major in his 19th year. To anyone who served in the military this raises several red flags.

He would have come up for promotion in his 15th thru 18th years. This suggests he was passed over multiple times, even though the promotion rate is close to 70%. In his book he stated he voluntarily left the military in his 19th year because the military was “woke.” His definition of “woke” must be that he’s willing to accept that thousands of white majors were promoted instead of him but he can’t accept that hundreds of Blacks and women were also promoted ahead of him.

If you know any former military members, ask them how many of their fellow soldiers voluntarily left in their 19th year. This just doesn’t compute because serving a few more months to his 20th year would mean that he could retire and receive a check every month for the rest of his life. The more likely scenario is that he was asked to leave. This would help explain his vendetta against Blacks and women. He has pulled senior Black and female officers from responsible positions and deleted their names from promotion lists.

I love the Daily Tar Heel. The students do such a great job of pointing out obvious UNC administration missteps. And in this case, it's a misstep in response to previous critique of a misstep. In the midst of which, Chancellor Lee Roberts remains effectively mute. dailytarheel.com/480536/opini...

The Boat Strikes Aren’t Part of a War. They’re Murder.
By debating war powers and war crimes, Congress is missing the simpler, graver truth: The president is directing summary executions.

Is it a coincidence that 50,000 North Korean troops are being provided to Russia and that Trump then does this? I'm not the firstest to adhere to a conspiracy theory, but could Trump possibly be any more effective as a Russian agent than what he is doing/has done?

Check this whole thread. The online syllabus movement is stupid from the jump, but it's also a grift. And no part of it will help students in any way; it will only create confusion by there being multiple documents out there purporting to describe what a class is about and what will happen in it.

The twists and turns of procurement have always been beyond me. But good lord, this has long been an obviously growing problem. Every tweak added to a missile system reduced ability to produce and stock it. I began to hate capabilities lists, because all I could see was "we won't have enough."

War crime? It's more complicated than at first blush, but yes: Specifically targeting civilian infrastructure or populations *expressly as retaliation* is a war crime. It's called "reprisal," and it's what the Nazis did in occupied Europe. Not good company.
